Indian Gold Eagles
About Indian Gold Eagles: Gorgeously conceived by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the 1907 Indian Eagle was the subject of public outcry, with its omission of the "IN GOD WE TRUST" motto. Beginning in 1908, the motto was added as mandanted by Congress. Indian Eagles were the last Eagles minted in the United States, and production of the series and the denomination ended in 1933.
