Seated Liberty Half Dimes - US Coin Prices from our Auction Archive
The Seated Liberty Half Dime series (1837-1873) underwent several design and weight changes. In 1859 and 1860, a time when the country's name was being moved from the reverse to the obverse, transitional patterns were made without "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" on either side of coin.
GreatCollections has sold 2,269 Seated Liberty Half Dimes in the past 11 years, selling at prices from $7 to $25,300, in grades 1 to 68. Of these, 339 were approved by CAC.
The design was made by: Christian Gobrecht.
