Why was I immediately outbid?
Ian Russell on Wed, Mar 23, 2011 03:50:28 AM
If you place a bid an on item and you are immediately outbid, this means we already had a higher secret maximum bid from another member.

For example:

Member A places a secret maximum bid of $1,000.00 on Item #1, which has a current bid of $150.00.  If there are no other bidders, Member A will win this item at $150.00.

If you then place a bid of $300.00 on the same item, our system will bid Member A's secret bid, and instantly outbid you.
