Latest News at GreatCollections...

As many clients have noticed, GreatCollections has been growing lately: the quantity of active auctions has increased by 30% over the past few months and even more exciting is the quality of coins on offer.

Our goal is simple - to offer the finest certified coins of *all* price ranges to collectors within the U.S. and overseas.  We do this for the lowest fees and offer the fastest service.

Here are some highlights of recent consignments that we are working on.  These will list soon at GreatCollections.

** A Rare Pattern

It's not often an auction company can offer a pattern with no auction record.  The coin, a Judd-670, has no auction record and is the only coin graded by PCGS in ANY grade (in one unverifiable auction database, we find reference to an old Superior auction record of a Proof-63, but we cannot confirm this was the coin or the accuracy of the listing).  This coin was consigned in a small group of superb U.S. coins, with two other patterns and a blue 1865 Dime.

** An 1895 Silver Dollar

This week, we are auctioning another 1895 Dollar...the King of Morgan Dollars.  It's considered the King, because it was only produced in Proof format (or more accurately, the issue is only *known* in proof format...the business strikes that were recorded as minted are believed melted).  This example is graded PCGS Proof-58 and is one of only 880 produced.

** The Trifecta 2009 Ultra High Relief

It's been a while since we have publicly offered for sale a 2009 Ultra High Relief graded PCGS MS-70 Proof Like First Strike - a grade we named the "Trifecta" last year.  Only 26 have been graded by PCGS to date and they rarely appear on the market.  At least three examples (sold by our firm) reside overseas.  This coin is being offered unreserved by GreatCollections.

**  Toned Coins
Since launching the ability to easily search for toned coins, we've noticed a steady increase in the amount of bids for this popular area of collecting.

** Upcoming Shows
We'll be at the PCGS Las Vegas Invitational later this month, and also the Dallas ANA in October.

If you thinking about selling some or all of your coins, please contact us today.  You will not beat our low fees, fast service and more important: fast payment!  Call us at 1-800-442-6467.
