Birth Set Coins from the U.S. Mint
Ian Russell on Tue, May 01, 2012 04:40:26 PM
You will start to see listings noting "Birth Set".  This means the coin originated in the annual Birth Set issued by the U.S. Mint, first issued in 2012.

2012 Birth Sets went on sale March 13, 2012. This was the first Birth Set issued by the United States Mint.  Each set included a proof Kennedy half-dollar, the first America the Beautiful quarter released for the year, a Roosevelt dime, a Jefferson nickel, and a Lincoln cent coin, each bearing the "S" mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco.

This product represents the first release for any version of the 2012 Kennedy Half Dollar. It also marks the first release for the 2012-S Proof Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel, and Lincoln Cent.
